You should have it kind of like the Music Video one were it covers the entire side of the screen, except have the top of the screen covered.

I think that theme while might look cool. It wouldn’t be functional. It will be distracting and it will interfere with menubar.iPad doesn’t have a menubar hence it works there. Don’t you think so ?

What r u talking about? The iPad has a Menu Bar just like every Apple Device, where it gives Time, Battery Percentage, Etc as u can see in the screenshot.

But I do see your point that it would be distracting to have the whole notification cover an entire side of the screen, on iPhone & iTouch in iOS 5 it makes sense with that amount of screen space as u can see in Screen Shot, but on iPad they decided to just have it be Center Middle, so at only 10 Inch screen if they decided only center middle for a good reason, so on a Mac would make no Apple Sense. Although imagining what it would look like if it covered full cover side of screen on iPad would seem cool. But I guess it would make more sense for you to make this Growl Extension do it like the iPad and be Centered at the top.

O and another thing you obviously have to work on is the flip animation, on iOS it actually Flips behind whatever part of the screen its going to cover, where as your animation fades in a white box over the part of the screen its going to cover and then it flips that white box. You have to make it so it Flips the part on the Mac Screen somehow.

And another thing, you can also improve on The iOS Version by not interfering with The Menu Bar, instead you can have it Flip from under the Menu Bar, which would look pretty cool.
